It took me about 15 years to unlearn the stuff from the first 15 years.

My grammar and spelling are horrendous in that post too... I am imbareassed.

Grammar and spelling aside, the messege comes through. I've done some of what you mentioned as the reviews go. I've reviewed some of the more obviously copyrighted matierial in open source recently just for the purpose of attacking the intelligence and character of the uploader. In these reviews I've frequently used the words "moron" and "idiot" to get my point accross. Part of me feels this was justified anger, but another part is a little embarrassed for stooping to name-calling. Fortunately, these files have been since taken down so you can't read these tirades anymore. Nobody's perfect.

Your reviews I can handle...It is when somebody posts a review of an item (say, a Jam Handy film, a DuMont show, a silent film, a coronet film, and other old usually-PD stuff) and instead of reviewing the item, they instead review either another persons review, or post a long political tirad (wrong spelling?) on a film about the most mundane of subjects (such as a Tooth Paste commercial, and until I found this site back in 2006(4), I wasn't even aware Colgate and Pepsodent could be used to start a political debate). Reviews that leave trivia or casting notes are OK with me...Sometimes they can provide context.

You are the last person I would ever call an "idiot" or a "moron". I just downloaded most of the stuff you put up and I thank you for it!

Well welcome to the world of instant gratification and unlimited access to the internet for any idiot with a library card.

I was the only kid on my block with a computer back in the late 1970's, now anyone can have a myspace page, a youtube acount and and anonymous login to say whatever they want. It's a side effect of the advance in technology.
